Femininity is an element attached to women, but in today’s time it seems to be changing from the old beliefs of feminine behaviour, and the main reason for such a shift is the changing dynamics of work life balance between men and women, in which women too are competing equally with men in almost all industries. Japans is technological advanced and requires a large workforce to be employed which considers women as one of the most important contributors. Such a shift will change the identity crisis faced by certain people because when a person, especially women are placed in a situation which forces them to grow and when they end up growing personally, they realise the stretch ability of their identity and they start searching for a new identity which is something more than the present. Men on the other hand continue to feel stronger and assuming that they are dominating women and children, but sometimes these assumptions are limited to their thinking and the reality is quite different. Outside of a typical family which is religiously oriented and traditionally inclined following the ancient rules of men and women, there are families where men and women have started to become equal and somewhere women have also overtaken men in many ways. Thus, the growth factor of life is an interesting support for men and women to challenge their own identity which they have been believing so far. When there are more opportunities in life for a women and a men which challenges them to stretch beyond their thinking capability and belief system, they will soon discover their new identity because with every small stretch of their capabilities, the attachment to identity changes and they seem to believe more in themselves about performing at work and home. So this implies that identity is not static and it keeps changing depending on the situation in which men and women are placed and how they perform. This will determine their possibility of clinging to a single identity or upgrading it.
