The industry of construction can be seen showing well performance, but there is still scope for enhancement. The responsibility of contributing towards the amelioration is not only in the hands of the key contractor, but instead it requires the contribution of each and every participant within the chain of supply (Rawai, 2012). Research on this particular industry is extremely fragmented, with the re- evaluation of relationship with the parties of supply chain and the need to implement improvements for increased sustainability within the industry of construction, both socially as well as environmentally (Eriksson, 2010).
With the focus on supply chain concepts, this report will focus on analysing the organization of Max Profit Constructions, in terms of the operations in supply chain, identifying crucial actors and nodes along with areas where there can be improvement of performance (Dikimen 2008). Further ahead, focus will be created on critically assessing and discussing the potential problems with the present practices as well as the current structure of the supply chain. Finally, suggestion will be provided how the processes and supply chain of MP Constructions can be improved by redesigning the system of supply chain.
Objective
This report has been aimed at enhancing the organization, Max Profit Construction with regard to the company’s time, cost and quality of products and services that it provides in the construction industry. Possible improvements and strategic management in a better way will further be discussed in the report. In order to provide justice to the research objective, the scope of this report will lie in discussing route of procurement, strategic tendering, relationship of customer and owner and problems faced.
