The three important steps, which can be undertaken by sales management team, are:
• Sales planning – When the business grows and flourishes the need of customers becomes wide and this becomes a barrier in growth of sales because of lack of coordination and planning of sales activities. Thus in order to keep away from such situations it is important to maintain proper plans to conduct sales. Poor management of sales leads to losing of orders and customers, which becomes a hindrance in the growth of business. Establishment of proper goals and steps to be taken to achieve must be clearly communicated and understood by the sales work force.
• Sales tracking: The second significant step in managing the sales is to keep a track of sales. Sales tracking is a fundamental part of sales management. Without keeping a track of sales, it is difficult to ensure that everything is happening in a right manner as planned or not (Greenly, 1986). If anything is out of track then it could be corrected by proper communication and by taking corrective measures in order to make sure that results would be achieved with the available resources and time.
