The community language schools within Australia are found to be diverse. Each community has a rich culture and cannot be generalized. In this study, the Swedish community or the ‘non-visible’ minority community were considered. For this research, 7 parents were interviewed. The notions of identity were found to stem from this language development. It was found that in this community they easily adopted the local Australian culture and shifted their ideologies to be aligned with that of Australia. There is a general shift from Swedish language to only English language. These kinds of community schools enable in fostering of the ideology of Swedish culture as well.
