Abstract

During the modernisation the architecture shunned its ornamented look and became simpler. The function was given more importance. The need of the users was given more importance. With time the requirements for considering factors like money, quality and durability became important. The effect on the environment was also given due importance.
It was during this phase that many architects realised that the décor was being sidelined to a larger extent. This resulted in the formation of postmodernism architecture. This style includes design as well as function. In the present era another form is being notice that is regarded as parametricism. It aims to organise the complexity of social institutions within the advance centre of post-Fordist network.
