The institutions such as ‘Pan Asia’ and the ‘Korean Wave’, have been formed with the sole motive of promoting Asian culture of Films and Drama, Asian Cuisine, Tourism etc through means such as television media and other forms of advertising, throughout the world and especially the western countries where the Asian culture has not yet able to attain the deserved recognition and significance. Though Pan Asian is responsible for propagation of cultures of all countries in Asia (CJ Haines, 2005), the ‘Korean Wave’ is primarily focused on promotion of Korean Films and dramas all over the world, and generate revenue through media export of various forms and aspects of the Korean culture. The Korean wave has been very successful in all its operation related to the export of Korean Films and Dramas, and has expected to generate revenues valued at a whopping $3.8 billion by the end of the year 2011. The Korean wave is very reputable institution is highly respected and applauded by the Korean people as well as other people from various countries in Asia. (HJ Cho , 2005)Though there have some controversies in Japan and China about the widespread of the Korean Wave due to local political issues as well as threat to the domestic Film and Drama industry, the Korean Wave has enjoyed its share of success in the these countries as well. As earlier mentioned the Korean dramas have not been very successful in the western region of the world, but the increase in use of internet and networking websites such as Youtube, Facebook etc, the Korean drams and films have started to gain the popularity and significance with time.
