Confidentiality
The subjects’ right to respect for their privacy and the corresponding duties of researchers to treat the personal information of a confidential and respectful are the subject of broad consensus. Respect for privacy in research is both a standard and an ethical principle recognized in many countries (Cooper & Schindler 2006, p. 132). In addition, several model codes have been voluntarily adopted to govern the privacy and access to such information. Therefore, we will take special care of respondents’ privacy and confidentiality.
Deception and Harm
Another important area of ethical consideration of the research is deception and harm if the researcher does not clearly states the main aim of the research to the respondent, than this is the deception. This is an unethical practice which should be avoided in any type of the research (Davies 2007, p. 89). In order to gain valuable information to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher should avoid the deception and harm that may be caused to the respondent during the interview or questionnaire phase of the study.
