In addition to this, there are negative reinforcements in which the managers achieve the desired results by implementation of a number of adverse things such as bad performance reviews of the employees, warnings to the employees in verbal or written form, suspension from the job, reduction in the pay or warnings to dismiss from the job (Manzoor, 2012).
Benefits: By providing the benefits to the employees, the performance of the employees can be improved. This includes providing pay rises, bonus, better options in terms of stocks and profits sharing techniques (Longoni et al, 2014). Thus motivation helps in rewarding the employees to do their job with enthusiasm.
Goal Setting: It is another important strategy for motivation of the employees. By providing the required information related to the goals of the company, the employees may feel more connected to the work.
Employee Input: By involving the employees in the issues related to the business, the morale of the employees can be boosted (Cummings & Worley, 2012). By asking the employees to improve the working conditions, employee input can be boosted.
How and why the motivation strategies can be employed to different people with different strategies?
Each and every person has a different mindset. While some of the people can work under pressure, there are many who may not (Miner, 2015). Some people work more when they are praised while others take the same lightly (Cerasoli et al, 2014). While some people can work in a light environment, others can work only if pressure is applied on them (Bakker et al, 2014). While few people working as they like the same, few of them take it as a simple medium to earn money (Sageer et al, 2012). Thus, different strategies may be used on different employees in order to get the work done from them.
