- Executive MBAs
Many organizations sometimes send their executives into doing executive MBAs. These degrees are truly immersive experiences in that they provide their participants not only education but also degrees that can look really on their resumes. The endeavor has many advantages in that it provides a good classroom learning experience. However, there are disadvantages as well like the great investment in time that is needed by the participants and this may make work-life balance very difficult for the employees.
One of the major cons of an executive MBA program is the cost of the program. This is especially true is the program is not subsidized by employers. MBA costs these days go over USD 100,000 in some instances especially for the good schools. Also, this puts the whole cost benefit analysis into perspective and employees wonder if they should go for these programs. Moreover, for some, executive education for some would be quite expensive when it is not subsidized.
