Regular safety inspections will be carried out so that personnel in the University would be complying with workplace standards. In addition, audits would be carried out from time to time to check on job safety and for measuring the objectives of compliance that are to be met. In the context of ongoing process change at the University it would be necessary to propose newer risk management based on hazard occurrences. A review of existing hazard incident list is created and then the data is made available to all stakeholders so that they become aware of the hazard and act in such a way that they avoid it (Gould, 2000).
The risk assessment matrix is coordinated based on the risk occurrence, from high to low and the impact of the risk. Some of the hazards identified for the University are that of security issue in the computer network, some physical hazard etc. In the case of a security issue in the computer network, the issue could be in the form of simple network downtime in order to apply some patches, in which case the risk of impact could be low to medium, and the occurrence frequency could be low to medium as well. On the other hand, a network security breach in the form of a hacker attempt could result in impact from medium, high to extreme and the occurrence could be medium. So depending on the risk that can be identified for the University and the context, varying levels of impact can be identified.
